The 2017 Nissan Altima, Maxima and Rogue each scored at least a "Good" rating in all five "Top Safety Pick" (TSP) test categories and earned "Top Safety Pick Plus" status with "Advanced" or "Superior" ratings for front crash prevention for models equipped with optional Forward Emergency Braking. Beginning this year a "Good" or "Acceptable" rating for headlight performance is also required to earn a TSP+ rating.
