A special "20th Anniversary Edition" of the Nissan Maxima for 2001 has added horsepower, upgraded equipment and extra features.

- Power on 20th Anniversary Edition increased by five horsepower - up to 227 from 222 - with the use of a larger centre exhaust pipe and muffler which increases exhaust flow and horsepower.
