Brent Smith is director of dealer network development, electrification & corporate strategy at Nissan Canada Inc., a role he took on in October 2025.

In this role, Smith reports to Steve Rhind, president of Nissan Canada Inc., and is responsible for leading the development of the dealer network in Canada, driving the electrification strategy and EV Ecosystem development, the product planning outlook as well as leading the development and implementation of the corporate strategy.   

Smith brings over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry. He joined Nissan Canada in 2014 and has since held several positions within the company, His experience includes leadership roles in marketing, fleet sales and dealer network development and most recently director of marketing.

Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts in Administrative and Commercial Studies from Western University, a Bachelor of Arts in Honors Business Administration from Ivey Business School and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
