With one of the most powerful V6 engines in the SUV market, the 2002 Pathfinder will certainly perpetuate its legacy as Nissan's best-recognized nameplate and one of the most highly regarded SUVs on the market. • All models now share the cross bar front grille with new Nissan logo
• Boxed side step rails on SE version. SE version also now has colour-keyed bumpers and fender flares standard on all models (2001 SE models were Dark Titanium)

• LE model features 17-inch alloy wheels with P245/65 R17 tires

• 3.5-litre DOHC V6 aluminum block engine producing 250 horsepower and 240 ft-lbs of torque (manual transmission) or 240 horsepower and 265 ft-lbs of torque (automatic)
• Choice of part-time shift-on-the-fly 4-wheel drive with 2-speed transfer case or All-Mode automatic 4-wheel drive (including low range 4WD)
• 5-speed manual standard on XE and SE, 4-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission optional on XE and SE, and standard on LE

• Independent strut with coil springs front suspension, 5-link with coil springs rear, standard front and rear stabilizer bars

• New 17-inch alloy wheels with P245/65R17 tires on LE
