Mississauga, Ontario – The Nissan Canada Foundation donated a brand new 2024 Nissan Pathfinder to Habitat for Humanity Saskatchewan, strengthening an ongoing partnership between Habitat for Humanity Canada and the Nissan Canada Foundation. This support will enhance Habitat Saskatchewan's ability to serve more families across the province.

Habitat Saskatchewan received this vehicle through the Nissan Canada Foundation's annual grant available to all local Habitats across the country. For the first time, Habitat Saskatchewan will have a dedicated company vehicle. Previously, the organization relied on rented vehicles or personal cars for travel to build sites, Habitat ReStores, and chapter communities across the province.

"This is our 10th vehicle donation through our partnership with Habitat Canada, reaffirming our commitment to supporting members of the communities in which Nissan operates," says Tara Willis, senior manager of DEI and Philanthropy, Nissan Canada Inc. "We are thrilled and humbled to be able to hand over the keys of a Nissan Pathfinder to Habitat Saskatchewan this year to help the local team get closer to the community."

Dave McEachern, CEO of Habitat for Humanity Saskatchewan, expressed his enthusiasm for this partnership, stating, "This partnership and grant giveaway exemplifies a spirit of collaboration and community, and we are excited to see the positive impact it will have on our organization and the families we support across the province. With this vehicle, we can reduce transportation costs, increase efficiency, and enhance our ability to provide safe, affordable housing to those who need it most."

Since the partnership began in 2008,, the Nissan Canada Foundation has donated more than $3.4 million to Habitat for Humanity Canada and contributed over 11,000 volunteer hours to Habitat projects across the country.

The vehicle was handed over on August 7th at Moose Jaw Nissan, whose team provided exceptional support and service in facilitating this grant.
