Nissan Canada Inc. Announces March Sales Results

Nissan Canada Inc. (NCI) today released March sales of 8,553 units – a decrease of 0.7 per cent over March 2010 and up 1.4 per cent calendar year-to-date. Nissan sales accounted for 7,726 units, remaining flat over the same month last year, while Infiniti sold 827 units, a decrease of 6.9.

Nissan's sales were dominated by the popular Sentra and Rogue with 1,831 and 1,383 vehicles sold, respectively, while the all-new 2011 Nissan Quest enjoyed strong sales in its first full month available with 112 units sold. Year-over-year sales jumped for Pathfinder, Murano and Maxima by 141.4, 47.5 and 36.4 per cent, respectively.

On the Infiniti side the G line-up remained the most popular with sales of 476, while the all-new for 2011 Infiniti QX56 sold 52 units, a jump of 420 per cent over March 2010. The Infiniti M, also redesigned for 2011, sold 59 units in March, up 34.1 per cent over last year.
