Today, Nissan Canada announced its plan to debut three of its most impressive production vehicles at the 2011 Montreal Auto Show in January, 2011. Making their first public appearances in Canada are the 2012 GT-R, 2012 370Z Nismo and the long-awaited, all-electric, zero-emission Nissan LEAF, which will go on sale in Canada in fall 2011.

“For the first Canadian auto show of the season we have three very exciting debuts which really represent Nissan’s Innovation for All platform,” said Mark McDade, Director, Marketing, Nissan Canada Inc. “From the all-electric Nissan LEAF to the legendary Nissan GT-R sports car which embodies pure power, there will be something for everyone at the Nissan booth this year.”

The 2011 Nissan LEAF™ is the world’s first affordable, zero-emission car that will usher in a new era of mobility in Canada when it goes on sale in fall 2011. With no gas and no tailpipe, Nissan LEAF was specifically designed to bring affordable zero-emission driving to the mass-market. Using a Lithium-ion battery-powered chassis, Nissan LEAF is a medium-size hatchback that seats five adults comfortably and has a range of 160 kilometres (U.S. LA4 cycle) on one full charge to satisfy real-world consumer needs.

With a new look, more power and better fuel efficiency, the 2012 Nissan GT-R continues to deserve its legendary nickname “Godzilla.” Other improvements for 2012 include increased structural rigidity, suspension modifications and new tires for better driving performance. The new “Black Edition” – with unique seats, interior colours and wheels – is the latest iteration of Nissan’s legendary supercar and will be available at official “GT-R certified” Nissan dealers across Canada in early 2011.

When the 2012 Nissan 370Z NISMO goes on sale for the first time in Canada in spring, 2011, it will fulfill the dreams of car enthusiasts across the country. With 350 horsepower, racing-inspired exterior and interior styling, a specially tuned suspension and unique super-lightweight forged alloy wheels, NISMO is a limited production 370Z that provides unique performance and design attributes that true sports car enthusiasts are looking for straight from the factory.
