Mississauga, Ont. – As with any other motorsport series, followers of the Nissan Micra Cup usually only see drivers wearing their full racing garb and in a state of razor-sharp focus on the race track. Some of the youngest members of the Micra Cup family recently assumed the role of journalists, and took their questions to the paddock to get a candid, close look at the drivers - all chronicled in a new video released by Nissan today.

Catherine and Ilian transformed into journalists of tomorrow to develop an inside look at the personal side of Micra Cup drivers. Both passionate about the Nissan Micra Cup, Catherine, 10, and Ilian, 7, spent time with the NV Production team meeting the drivers, their teams and conducting their first-ever on-camera interviews.

The Nissan Micra Cup paddocks host drivers who are veterans, rising stars, and also young rookies who come straight from karting. At the end of its second season, this well-rounded mix of Micra Cup drivers and their teams have formed a close community, and this includes family and friends.  This family-friendly environment naturally encourages opportunities for young fans to take their first steps on a race track.

At Circuit Mont-Tremblant, the Nissan Micra Cup saw Catherine and Ilian effectively make their debut in motorsport journalism. The result was a charming video, demonstrating that you don't have to be a driver to make your debut in motorsports!
