MARRAKESH, Morocco – An action-packed final lap of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship Marrakesh E-Prix saw Nissan e.dams driver Sebastien Buemi chasing down the top three.
At the checkered flag, the Swiss racer took fourth position in car #23, just two-tenths behind third place, having started sixth. British driver, Oliver Rowland completed a strong top 10 result crossing the line ninth in car #22. The Nissan e.dams squad scored 14 championship points, taking them to fourth overall in the 12-team manufacturer standings.
"Historically we run well here at the Circuit International Automobile Moulay El Hassan," said Michael Carcamo, Nissan global motorsports director. "Seb's fourth consecutive Super Pole qualifying appearance today tells us that our baseline pace is good, so to pull all the elements together and, for the second race in a row, score strong team points is certainly satisfying."
Nissan is using Formula E to demonstrate the power and performance of its zero-emission EV technology, and to share its forward-looking Nissan Intelligent Mobility vision for changing how cars are driven, powered and connected with society.
"Seb was close to P3 today, and we were one of two teams with both cars in the top ten. This is very positive," said Olivier Driot, Nissan e.dams team principal. "As we look ahead, we are scoring consistent points, qualifying well and moving in the right direction in the championship."
Nissan e.dams will take part in a driver test session tomorrow, March 1. Test and reserve driver Mitsunori Takaboshi and simulator driver Jann Mardenborough will test the Formula E car, after having spent the last few days in the simulator at the

"I had a good amount of energy left at the end of the race, and I think that if I had caught the leading pack sooner, I could have scored another podium. We are close to the front runners in terms of pace, so with some more work we will be competitive."

"A bit of an average weekend for me. My qualifying wasn't the best, in ninth position. I got a good start in the race and was up to sixth with the plan to conserve energy for the end of the race. But our strategy didn't really play out and I lost some places, finally finishing ninth. Still, we scored some points today and we'll build on this."
